Simple, lovely food...
Good, fresh ingredients, local where possible, cooked with attention care and love.. It’s as simple as that. We keep our menu short (generally 6 each of starters, mains and desserts), so everything is cooked to your order using the best produce of that day.
West Cork is rightly famous for the quality of its produce and we make good use of it. Meat from just along the road in Timoleague – diners rave about our steaks and rack of lamb. Lobster and shrimp caught in the bay by Ian Howe. Fresh fish landed in West Cork. Organic strawberries from David Bushby, organic leaves from the Devoys near Rosscarberry. Rhubarb and some of the herbs are our own home grown.
Menus...
We write up our evening blackboard in the afternoon to start serving at six. Always a selection of meat dishes, fish and vegetarian. Dishes can be customised to your wishes. Particular requirements – coeliac, vegetarian, vegan – are easily accommodated. (Dairy intolerant is difficult, so please let us know beforehand.) Start with our home-baked breads, or some of Brenda’s brown soda bread.
Sunday lunch is a favourite all year; we have a traditional menu of roasts, also with fish and vegetarian.
At all meals we always have a range of children’s options available.
For evenings and Sunday lunch, do please call to book your table beforehand.
Across the summer we also offer bar lunches throughout the week. An informal, light menu – lovely looking out across the bay.
Wines & drinks...
Complementing the food, we have a wide range of wines from across the world, including a good selection available by the glass. There is also the full range of bar drinks and beverages, and a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks.
